Dairy Crest invests in ‘green’ expansion at Dove Valley Park
Dairy Crest has completed a £1.1m upgrade at its Dove Valley Park site to encourage greener ways of working. A new link building between the milk bottling site and the adjacent factory which makes plastic bottles at Dairy Crest’s Foston facility means there is a reduced need for vehicle movement. The new link building means that bottles are now moved between factories on conveyor belts rather than by wagons, as they were in the past.
The work was completed while the Dairy Crest site remained in full operation. The Foston facility can bottle up to 250 million litres of milk a year.
